Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet was established in 2021 to deliver bespoke training to Irish hotels and guesthouses.

We aim to deliver a comprehensive range of high quality, subsidised training and event opportunities that are designed to meet the needs of Irish hotels and guesthouses in support of a strong learning and development culture that inspires a capable, agile and vibrant workforce.

Careers within the Irish hotel and guesthouse sector are as dynamic as they are diverse, from the culinary arts, event coordination and customer service to mixology, sales and marketing, and human resources.  Through a blend of informal, formal and accredited training programs, Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet supports people working in the sector to gain the critical skills they need to enjoy exciting opportunities for career advancement.

What is Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet?

Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet is an initiative of the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF), the national organisation of the hotel and guesthouse sector in Ireland. Founded in 1937, the IHF represents the interests of more than 900 hotels and guesthouses throughout the Republic.

Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet training and events are available to IHF members, as well as non-members.

Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and network companies. Skillnet Ireland is the national agency charged with the facilitation of workforce learning.

Skillnet Ireland supports more than 50 industry representative groups and delivers training to more than 70,000 people each year.
